We enjoyed a range of different activities here at Abbotsleigh Care Home last week.
Even though we are closed to outside entertainment, the beautiful RDA horses popped by and we admired them from our lounge and conservatory windows. What magnificent animals they are.
We’ve been assisting our residents and families with Skype calls, which have amazed some of our ladies and gents! Connecting loved ones through technology is so helpful in these difficult times and it was so lovely to see families chatting and catching up online.
As the weather has been so nice, we’ve been taking our residents out for walks within the grounds and picking some lovely fresh daffodils, snow drops and tulips for their bedrooms. We’ve also been doing some flower arrangements with artificial flowers.
Through the week we have enjoyed lots of one-to-one time with our residents, and to finish the week off, our Recreation and Well-Being Team put on a little Karaoke singing and dancing show, which got a lot of our residents up dancing and using the musical instruments. Our star dancer was the gorgeous Barbara R!
Marion B celebrated her birthday as well this week – many happy returns Marion, we’re glad you enjoyed your special day!
