We had a brilliant afternoon recently with our residents at Abbotsleigh Care Home when we created our very own ‘Picture House’ experience for them.
To create the right atmosphere, we covered the skylight in our lounge, closed the doors, turned the lights off and arranged our chairs, giving everyone their own ticket to our special cinema.
When it was show time, we took our ladies and gents through our golden streamer doorway to their seats. Playing at Abbotsleigh Picture House was Pillow Talk staring Doris Day – an absolute classic!
Ice creams and jelly were served halfway through the film, which were greatly appreciated.
We will definitely make our cinema a regular event as everyone loved the experience – all we need now are more film suggestions!
