Last week we were excited to take a group of our Abbotsleigh Care Home residents for a trip out on the river aboard the Kingfisher.
Our Captain for the day got our lovely volunteer Caroline and Resident Liaison Officer Kirsty to get out of the boat to open and close the locks on the river, which was fun!
Everyone had a brilliant time and enjoyed the views and swans as we travelled along.
Our resident Patricia also had a chance to be Captain of the boat, which she really enjoyed. She received a certificate for her efforts – she’s obviously a natural!
