We had a wonderful time on our virtual trip to Hong Kong last week here at Abbotsleigh Care Home and were excited to celebrate Chinese New Year when we arrived!
We made a special display for our residents to enjoy, with photographs of Hong Kong, Chinese lanterns, our residents’ passports ready to go, as well as Chinese lucky envelopes to celebrate the New Year.
Our ladies loved our pretty parasols and Chinese fans and we had a travel program on our Smart TV, showing beautiful images of Hong Kong.
To make the event complete, we served a delicious selection of Chinese-themed food for lunch and supper, with beautiful table settings to really bring the whole experience to life;
