Toasting marshmallows and sparklers by the fire
We recently held our annual Bonfire Night here at Abbotsleigh Care Home, where residents’ families came to celebrate with us for the evening. We enjoyed eating yummy burgers and hotdogs, as well as toasting marshmallows, lighting sparklers and the warmth of our own little bonfire.
Well-Being
In the same week, we were also visited by the Hairdresser and the Well-Being Team. Reuben the PAT Dog also gave us an afternoon visit ,as well as the horses from the RDA.
Fundraising and Remembrance
We spent a day decorating biscuits for our biscuit sale to raise money for The Poppy Appeal. We held our biscuit sale on Friday – stay posted for our final fundraising figure!
As a special Remembrance tribute, we also made 100 poppies which we spread around the Home as decoration.
