As this year’s Chelsea Flower Show had to be cancelled, we decided to have our own flower show here at Abbotsleigh Care Home with our residents!
Our ladies made some lovely flower arrangements using a selection of blooms including carnations, gerbera daisies and chrysanthemums. They were so delighted with their displays which are so cheerful and colourful – we think Chelsea would be proud!
We also made a start on making some wind chimes, with our residents rolling and cutting out clay bird and dolphin shapes which will form the hanging decorations. We can’t wait to finish them!
As the weather has been beautiful we have been spending lots of time on our decking area and in the garden, quite often enjoying a nice cuppa and some biscuits.
Our fantastic Deputy Manager Diana covered annual leave in our kitchen and treated our residents to her fantastic cooking skills – huge thanks to her for keeping us all well fed!
