We’ve had another great week at Abbotsleigh Care Home, especially as our residents got to celebrate World Chocolate Day, tasting different types of chocolate!
They sampled milk, dark, white and flavoured varieties – their favourite was dark mint chocolate and a few of our residents enjoyed the chilli chocolate too. A delicious activity which was very much enjoyed by all!
We also had fun making orange jelly boats with sails, which was such a nice and tasty way to enjoy oranges; we scooped the insides out of oranges to make the boats and added the fresh juice to the jelly. Delicious!
Many happy returns to our lovely Joy. C who celebrated her 92nd birthday recently, with a chocolate gateaux birthday cake and presents in our garden and a visit with family at a social distance.
We have been busy with family visits in our garden this week and continuing to use Skype so our families can all stay in touch.
