Alina Abagiu and Adrian Silaghi – finalists at The Great British Care Awards
Registered Manager Alina Abagiu at Abbotsleigh Care Home, and Catering Manager and Head Chef Adrian Silaghi at Princess Christian Care Home, were thrilled to win a place in the finals at The Great British Care Awards on Saturday 3 November.
The Great British Care Awards is an opportunity to reward those in the Care Sector for their hard work through a serious of regional events throughout England, paying tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated excellence within their field of work.
Alina was nominated for and ranked as a finalist for the Care Home Manager category; Adrian was nominated for and recognised as a finalist in the Care Home Chef category – supported by Mario Taherian (Princess Christian Care Home Manager), Alison Ruddock (Operations Manager for Nursing Services) and Glenda Osmotherly (Director of Operations).
The finalists on both categories were extremely strong and although Alina and Adrian were not crowned as winners, it was a wonderful industry event to attend and enjoy the beautiful Brighton backdrop. Alina and Adrian had a most enjoyable evening and met with other professionals within the care sector. Listening to success stories from other industry experts proved to be a great inspiration to all.
Adrian commented, “It was wonderful to have my Catering Team companions Paul and Cristian with me to show their support. Their first gala dinner, this invitation was a kind appreciation of their hard work.”
