We’ve enjoyed a creative few days here at Abbotsleigh Care Home recently.
Our Recreation and Well-Being staff have been making some fantastic firework pictures with our talented residents, using bright coloured paints applied onto black paper with forks and snipped toilet rolls. They look so effective displayed in our Home.
We have also made a beautiful Remembrance Day display with help from our ladies and gents, combining our lovely cut-out poppy wreaths and soldier silhouette picture. A special tribute to those we’ve lost in wartime.
And what fun we had on National Sandwich Day! We thought it would be fun to get our residents to make their own sandwiches to celebrate. As you can see, James really enjoyed his finished ham salad sandwich, Ann loved her chocolate spread creation and our lovely Joy opted for a simple English classic – a cucumber sandwich. Delicious!
