Visiting horses
Our Abbotsleigh Care Home residents Jen and Jen visited some beautiful horses who came to visit us at the front of our Home last week.
The white horse is Merlin who has different colour eyes and has been visiting us the longest.
Our ladies were excited to get up close to these magnificent creatures and give them a little stroke on the nose.
Pampering
Jen also enjoyed having her nails done last week, which is always such a relaxing experience.
Our ladies love the different colour polishes on offer and Betty had hers painted a lovely pink colour.
Arts and crafts
We love our arts and crafts at Abbotsleigh and we’ve recently been busy with some colourful daffodil pictures, made from cut out card and scrunched tissue paper. We’d been making these in preparation for our Welsh Day.
Jen, Jenny and Brenda were very proud of their creations, and rightly so – they look super ladies!
We’ve now moved on to some seasonal art and some pretty autumnal wreaths on cut out paper plates, inspired by leaves; they look so effective in different green, yellow, oranges and browns.
We’re looking forward to displaying them around our Home.
