We have had a great few weeks at Abbotsleigh Care Home with our residents and have really been enjoying the Daily Sparkle newspaper, as well as quizzes and puzzles which we all join in with.
Fun at the Copacabana
We had an amazing visit from singer Jasmin, who brought a Copacabana feel to the front of our Home as she performed a selection of tropical inspired tunes from a social distance. It was great to hear our ladies and gents singing along and enjoying themselves.
Pampering and selfies
We’ve been assisting our Hairdresser and offering manicures to our ladies which has proved poplar; one of our residents decided she would like rainbow coloured nails, so we happily obliged!
We also had a ‘Selfie day’ when Diana B and Jean C had fun joining in taking photos.
Birthday celebrations
Thomas W celebrated his 83rd birthday with us on Saturday 22 August. He had a super day and very much enjoyed opening his cards and receiving his special birthday cake. Antonio had his birthday on Friday 28 August so we’ve had fun celebrating. Many happy returns chaps!
Leaf paintings
Due to the recent changeable weather, we’ve been doing lots of arts and craft activities inside, with some fantastic leaf print paintings being created by our talented residents – they look great!
