We enjoyed a host of lovely activities last week with our residents at Abbotsleigh Care Home.
Singer Kevin Walsh came in to serenade us with his wonderful music – always popular, especially with our ladies! He delighted us all with some Frank Sinatra tunes and smooth classics from 50s. We had our musical instruments out, plus some dancing, so everyone could join in the fun!
Bingo was also on the agenda; our ladies and gents shared some games together around the table when our ball spinner was in full swing. Eyes down for a full house, with our residents getting to choose a prize when they won.
We also enjoyed some reminiscence – looking at our favourite pantry items from the past in one book (Bird’s custard and Battenberg cake to name a few!) which was very interesting.
And we got stuck into some crafts too. Some of our residents created pretty frames using material flowers and sticky back plastic.
