Here at Abbotsleigh Care Home we’ve had so much fun making flowers and decorating our Home with help from our residents, in preparation of our arrival in Spain last week.
On the day we all helped decorate our lounges and dining rooms, and get dressed up; Jeremy and Ruby were very enthusiastic!
We all practiced our Spanish, with Diana leading the way with her daily “Hola” greeting! Antonio was very animated with a rose, and loved the Spanish music and food of his home country.
Our Chefs and management team made some amazing dishes;
- Two different paella (one seafood and the other chicken) to cater to everyone’s taste
- Albondigas meatballs (meatballs in a garlic and tomato sauce)
- Spanish omelette
- Spanish cake and churros
We also served sangria and fruit punch to really get everyone in the spirit of Spain!
Everyone had a fantastic time and we’re already looking forward to the next leg of our trip!
