We had fun on Friday 23 April celebrating St George’s Day here at Abbotsleigh Care Home, preparing English flags and other decorations.
Singer Keely came to entertain us outside the front of our Home. Dressed in an English flag outfit, she sang a medley of favourite English classic songs, which everyone loved. We had fun shaking our shakers to the music!
As part of the day, our residents enjoyed a delicious English breakfast and an old fashioned fish and chips lunch. Lots of fun was had by all!
Our Betty, who was a secretary and shorthand typist, has been typing out some letters this week too, which was lovely to see.
We have also enjoyed some indoor catch and skittle ball games during the week, and as the weather has improved lately we’ve got outside in our garden for some planting and refreshing walks.
