Our residents at Abbotsleigh Care Home had fun during Valentine’s week, with lots of arts and crafts activities, as well as chocolate heart making, to prepare our Home for our Valentine’s party on Friday 14 February.
During the party we were treated to a wonderful performance by a lovely acoustic duo, Running Brook, who helped make the afternoon a great success by creating a super atmosphere.
We spoilt our residents with melted chocolate and fresh strawberries, as well as lemonade with fresh raspberries. Delicious!
During the week after, we were busy making dream catchers from card, wool and feathers, which we have displayed around our Home for everyone to admire.
We’ve also had a visit from Staplehurst Church ladies who came to sing hymns for our residents, which was very uplifting.
Our lovely Phil came to see us and put on fantastic greyhound racing and bingo entertainments for our ladies and gents to enjoy. He’s always so engaging with our residents and we all look forward to his visits.
