Silk painting
Another wonderful creative idea from Esme in our Recreation and Well-Being Team here at Abbotsleigh Care Home – silk painting!
Our ladies really enjoy trying new crafts and so they were keen to give silk painting a go. The silk was placed onto a frame and gently brushed with special paint/ink. We experimented with salt which disperses the colours. It’s tricky but it turned out beautifully.

Time with our chickens
With such lovely weather recently, we’ve wanted to be out in the garden as much as possible.
We are lucky enough to have our cute little chickens and they really do make our time outside enjoyable.
Occasionally they make an appearance indoors as well, so everyone gets a cuddle!
