We’ve enjoyed some lovely activities recently here at Abbotsleigh Care Home.
We came together to make some special bird feeders for our feathered fiends in the garden. We made these using apples and oranges, peanut butter and cheerios; some of our lovely Carers enjoyed helping our residents thread the cheerios on to strings. We know our birds will love them!
We have also been enjoying a spot of knitting. One of our residents is creating knitted squares to make her great-grandchildren a nice blanket. So we’re excited to see it take shape.
Our ladies have thoroughly enjoyed having manicures too and a good giggle which is so important; they love choosing their favourite colours and being pampered. We’ve enjoyed seeing some bright and colourful fingernails around our Home!
We have also started making decorations with our residents, so they can hang them on their bedroom doors. They chose their designs based on their favourite patterns and colours, to make their doors both colourful and unique to them.
